GREAT ENDING for MOMPEO IN CORTO

Great final last night for Mompeo in Corto: as if by miracle this little gem of the Valley of Farfa is animated by artists, International celebrated personalities, creativity alive and pulsing. There are two award categories: on one hand the films and their authors and actors, the other prizes to the greatest artists in cinema history and culture that traditionally Mompeo decides to recognize the value and merit. Led the eveningMaria Luisa Lafiandra, neo-artistic director of the Festival.

First, the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Ornella Muti, and more charming asever, radiant but especially for the recent participation in the filming of the new film by Woody AllenEdoardo Vianello received the Lifetime Achievement Award for "Italian Song" a witty as it is timeless. While to Detto Mariano, the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, went to the Career Award for Soundtrack.

The Traditional Journalism Award went to Mario Orfeo, currently director of Il Messaggero, former editor of Il Mattino. Currently the youngest newspaper editor in Italy(born 1966), a pen these days, with a splendid and glorious history behind it.

The first prize went to the short film SOTTO CASA of Alessio Lauria: a little gem made through the project of Talenti in Corto (www.talentiincorto.it) that describes with humor and freshness one of the most absurd dramas of our everyday life, the parking. Also present was Riccardo De Filippis, one of the protagonists of this and other courts in competition. The award for best video clip was won by Emanuele Martorelli for IN FONDO AL POZZO, a fresh, nice and embellished costumes and photography unusual for the genre. For social commitment has been rewarded PADRES by Liz Lobato, a job that deals with emotion and depth the theme of the elderly by considering the extraordinary possibility of the adoption of an older person. It took the prize for Best Score, the plaque TreLune RecordsLudovico Vagnone for INTERCAMBIO of Antonello Novellino, a Spanish-Italian production that tells so raw and dry the most horrific aspects of war among men. A special mention went to RISORSE UMANE… FRESCHE DI GIORNATA of Marco Giallonardi. Special recognition went to Beniamino Marcone, the protagonist of RISORSE UMANE… FRESCHE DI GIORNATA.

 

Turn on stage to reward these artists the Mayor Mauro Moretti, the President of the Jury the beautiful Eleonora Giorgi, Dr. Giampaolo Letta, who wanted to bring in Mompeo the authoritative voice of those who, like Medusa, into the film invests all its resources. Present also the jurors who have been working these days for the choice. Besides the President Eleonora Giorgi, Mauro Calevi (Organizer of production), Marco Testoni (composer and music consultant RTI / Medusa), Filippo Bussi (sound designer, Tweedle), Marzia Apice (4Arts Entertainment & Labour), Silvia Marinucci (35mm ). Babak Karimi sent their regards (actor and editor, former winner of the Silver Bear in Berlin), Alessandro Scillitani (director and artistic director of Reggio Film Festival) unfortunately absent.


During the evening also Luciano Torani and Fernando Alba presented the MovieClip, a new cinema format to tell the music at the turn of short film and video, which opens up new types of expression for this kind of contamination among the arts.

Recall that the event is organized by the City of Mompeo, has the contribution of the Lazio Region-Department of Culture, Arts and Sports and the Province of Rieti, and enjoys the patronage of Ministero della Gioventù and the SIAE. And the support of Enel SpA, Fondiaria Sai, BNL Paribas Group, Finmeccanica, Eni, Telecom. Very interesting historically, in this regard, the documentary presented by eni titled eni si gira!
